▶ Your Answer :
People spend a lot of time with their parents, especially in childhood. Since they do not have to work until late at night, children have time to have conversations with their parents and share what they have learned. Thanks to this, parents are easily aware of their sons and daughters' abilities. This helps them give advice about future careers and schools. Since I consider people who teach others about life and the future as the best teachers, I firmly believe that parents are included in the best mentor category.
To begin with, parents teach children how to develop their social skills. Currently, social skills are becoming more and more essential for success. This is because everyone needs to collaborate with each other in order to achieve goals, such as developing state-of-the-art technologies and improving companies' sales. Parents are the only ones who can help students learn the methods of developing interpersonal skills because they do not need to spend time giving knowledge as much as school teachers do. The reason for this is because students generally learn at school, not at home. On the contrary, school teachers cannot give enough advice about the future because they only need to focus on lessons. Since they can help students get ready for success, I firmly believe that parents are the best teachers.
Moreover, parents help children make appropriate decisions. Generally, when they become teenagers, students decide what they will do as grown-ups and which universities they will attend later. In these determinations, children need their parents' support because they don't have enough knowledge about the community. They haven't worked before and are not aware that the adult world is tough, very tough. This may make them choose jobs that are too difficult for them to have. In order to prevent this, mothers and fathers must discuss with their kids about the later years of life. By doing so, parents can become the best mentors.
Parents are the best teachers because they teach students how to develop interpersonal skills and help them make better decisions. Many children try to ignore what their parents say and consider the advice nagging. However, they are completely misunderstanding; their mothers and fathers teach them a lot of important skills in life. Why don't we try to listen carefully to our parents' advice from now on? We will definitely be on the top of the world by doing so. |
