▶ Your Answer :
Some people may think that
high school students should choose their universities whose graduates are being
offered good job opportunities rather than enroll to the universities whose
faculty members are famous. I strongly disagree with this statement since these
people fail to consider the benefits from famous professors.
To begin with, it is beneficial for students
to choose their higher educational institutions whose professors are eminent
since they can offer good quality of education. Famous professors are known
well to the society since they had made a lot of achievements in their fields
and thus have great ability to provide good quality of education. With this
high quality of education, students will be able to improve their ability and
thus eventually become competent graduates. For example, Harvard University,
one of the best universities in the U.S., has a lot of famous professors in
their fields and the university's graduates are well known for being
well-rounded and competent. Because every person acknowledges the ability of
the Harvard Graduates, these graduates are able to grab not only good job
opportunities but also other chances, such as acceptance from good medical/law
schools. Thus, universities whose professors are famous can offer more advantages
than other universities.
In addition, another merit of universities
whose instructors are eminent exists. It is possible that a university whose
"current" graduates have good job opportunities may not provide good
job opportunities to "future" graduates as before. However, a
university whose faculty members are famous can provide strong recommendation
to its students when they are finding jobs. Since the power of these
recommendation will not be attenuated easily, it can be thought that universities
whose professors are famous have more strong ability in supporting its
graduates in the job market. Therefore, students will have more benefits by
choosing their next step to the universities with preeminent faculty members.
In sum, despite some people may think that
current job opportunities are a prime factor of choosing a university, I cannot
agree with those people. Apparently, students who enroll to the universities
with famous faculty members will have better chances in their lives. Therefore,
students should not be seduced by universities whose "current"
graduates are offered good jobs.
