▶ Your Answer :
Unlike past, the news media is now huge and still developing
since television and internet have been founded. Most people might agree that the news media is
far more trustable than any other resources such as individual blog, or statements
from ordinary people. Unfortunately, the news media is not perfect at every
time for two major reasons: news media can have wrong information since people
are fabricating the contents, and there are numerous news web cites that
contends for their own tendency.
To begin with, people cannot be perfect all the time, but
they are the one who creates the news media. Providing information is not
giving a solution of mathematical problem. Despite how much news casters put
their time to analyze information whether is reliable or not, there are always
possibilities of miscasting of news. In case of Korea, they created popular
false information by miscasting information about fan. One of the news channel
announced that people could die from fan wind during sleeping, and
surprisingly, many people are still believes that leaving fan working during
the whole night can actually kill them.
Moreover, there are thousands of news incorporations
existing in the world, and each of them have their own tendency about
information. In other words, each mass media organizations have their own
priority to cast about. For example, in my country, there are three famous news
media incorporation called SBS, MBC, and JTBC. Two of them never cast about any
information that could harm an image of President side. However, the other one
is always busy to find some flaw about President side, and leading the bad
image of it. Likewise, most news channels have their own thoughts about
enormous information and actually classify before they cast to public.
To summarize, I definitely believe that there are no
reliable sources include the news media because nothing could be perfect especially
in the matter of handling information. On the whole, I agree with my father’s
saying that “Do not helplessly believe something, but it is definitely up to
you what to hear.” In other words, even though the news media is not always
reliable, people can wisely choose the information through pondering.
