▶ Your Answer :
Undoubtedly, getting knowledge from several classes plays
a significant role in people's daily lives in many of places where we work or
play. Some people might think that high school students should focus on three
or four subjects, while others do not. Both sides may have their own reasons to
support their view. If I were asked about this matter, I would say that it is
better for high school students to take a wide range of subjects at the same
time. There are several reasons as follows.
To begin with,
taking many subjects simultaneously requires one's sense of
responsibility. Students might have a lot of homework and materials that they
should review while taking various classes. To finish all their tasks on time,
they are likely to control themselves and strictly manage their time. Naturally,
they can develop their responsibility. For example, when my youngest brother
was in high school, he had probation period that attended few classes in first
semester. At that time, he used to be lazy and he flunked math and science.
This is because he thought that he had just few homework and it could be done
any time, so he postponed his work. However, when he had to participate in all
classes, he realized that he would not be able to handle all his classes with
his laziness. He has changed little by little and he became prompt and played
his part better. Finally, he could fulfill all requirements of the classes and
got straight A's in school.
To sum up, the
advantages of taking a wide range of subjects far outweigh those of focusing on
just few subjects for the reasons that I have mentioned above. All in all, I
firmly believe that the importance of attending many classes cannot be
overestimated in the pursuit of developing responsibility of high school
students.
