It is debatable whether there will be fewer cars in use than
there are today in twenty years. This is an intriguing question because
opinions concerning this can be different relying on individual perspectives.
In my opinion, however, I agree with the statement for the following subsequent
two reasons. To begin with, the goverment will regulate the number of
cars in their country. As the economy of one's country get better, a lot of
cars are created annually. However, the carbon dioxides released by cars cause
negative effect on our environment such as an air pollution or global warming.
In addition, cars provoke many social issues like traffic congestion or car
accidents. To make up for these problem, the goverment would decrease the
number of cars in their country. For example, the goverment of my country
announced new regulation policy to reduce the use of cars a month ago. This
policy was set to prevent further environmental issues and lower the death rate
caused by car accidents. In effect, it is making positive changes in my
country. I believe this type of policy would be announced to other countries in
a few years. On top of that, there will be more investment in public
transportation. These days, technology develops at fast rate. Since cars cause
many problems as I mentioned above, engineers all over the world would research
how to improve the public transportation. Thus, the public transportation would
be faster, more comfortable and even affordable. For instance, when I was a
high school student, my city renovated the subway route and quility of station
facility completely. It must have been costly, However, most of the citizen in
my city including me were satisfied with new renovation. As a result, the car
usage in my city was considerably reduced. Someday, this will happen all over
the globe not only my city.
In a nutshell, the goverment will try to diminish the number
of cars in their country. Moreover, people would pay attention to public
transportation to improve. In this regard, I strongly believe that the number
of cars will be decreased as time goes by.
