I strongly believe that people who live in cities gratify with their lives compare to people who live in the country for the two reasons. Although this seems apparent to me, this might not be the case for others. I will use the point of enjoying a better quality of life and broadening people's horizon First of all, living in cities allows people from enjoying a better quality of life. This is because it guarantee a stress-free life on the other hand, living in farm and village region can stress people out by pushing them to feel bored. moreover stress is one of the main factors that weakens the immune system and causes harm to the body. According to a study conducted by Seoul National University of Korea in 2010, a test on mice showed that when they were regularly subjected to electric shocks, their life span was shortened. The researchers found a link between this and human beings who suffered from chronic stress. It can inferred that living in farm and village region can lead to high stress levels and this can reduce a person's life span. In addition, living in cities can allow people to broaden people's horizon. It is obvious that they may go through trial and. error, and This can expose them to different worlds of lifestyles, basic customs, and cultures. Through this experience, they will learn to embrace diversity. For example when I migrated to the city’s university, there was an Ethiopian girl who brought home-cooked meals for lunch. It smelled funny, and she ate with her hands without using utensils and other students who had never seen such a scene kept their distances from her. on the other hand, being educated on Africa and African table manners through class of the university in big city, i was perfectly understanding and comfortable with what was taking place. To sum up, the importance of my view cannot be underestimated in that it can kill two birds with one stone for the reasons i have mentioned above. All in all, I believe this trend will probably continue for the next generation. |
