Some people think that it is mandatory for all students to take a history lessons. There is a lot of truth in it. However, in my opinion, every student has not to receive historical courses from their teachers for two reason: to have a practical assistance and health.
To begin with, older people who are working a long time in ones field allows young students that just only to study history courses in their school to have practical assistance. This is because, older people who have accumulated their own know-how in their careers or lives. Therefore, they have many resources and skills with which to teach and guide younger teenagers. In fact, studying history are not available for future employees like young students because history class does not practically give a chance for them to achieve a career goal. For example, I learned much more from my senior employees than from my peers who takes a lot of history lessons when I first started working at a tour company. Because my peers did not much work experience, we were not able to learn much from each other. On the other hand, the senior employees in my department taught me many important work skills, such as how to create effective presentations and how to safely handle the machinery in the lab. They helped me greatly, and thanks to them, I was able to acclimate easily to the workplace.
On top of that, taking history courses can not enable students to stay healthy. This is due to the fact that attending a tedious class tend to lead a stress of life. In other words, young students are easily stressed out when they do not appreciate their grade and career situation and struggle to achieve a higher goal. Actually, most of students stressed out to take a history courses and seriously, it is too extremely to say that history class can lead to decline their attendance rate because of stress. Moreover, stress is one of the main factor of diseases through the weakening the immune system. According to a study conducted by Seoul National University of Korea in 2008, a test on mice showed that life span was shorten when they regularly underwent series of electric shocks. Interestingly, the researchers found a link between this and human beings who suffered from periodic stress. This implies that high stress levels coming from greed can negatively affect humans, resulting in a shorter life span.
To sum up, requiring to take history courses can have negative impact on actual experience from others as well as physical health. In this regard, I strongly disagree with the idea that it is important for students to take history lessons for the reasons I mentioned above. |
