Some people think that people these days benefit more from learning about foreign countries from?/through? newspapers and magazines than visiting those countries. However, in my opinion, it is more advantageous for people to visit a lot of cities than to read materials for two reasons: practical assistance and valuable life lessons.
To begin with, a man who has been to travel other countries allows reading people to have practical assistance. Going abroad makes it possible for them to get a lot of helpful experience even more than learning cultures through books. This is because the man who always enjoy visiting many countries has accumulated their own know-how in their careers or lives through this trip. Thus, they have many resources and skills with which to teach and guide non-traveled people who just only want to read. For example, I learned much more from my senior employees who has a lot of business trip experience than from my peers-office keeping- when I first started working at a tour company. Moreover, my job involves travel, and I was in troubled. Because my peers did not have much journey experience in person, we were not able to learn much from each other. On the other hand, the senior employees in my department taught me many important work skills, such as how to create effective presentations for tour customers and how to safely handle the machinery in other countries by oneself.
On top of that, traveling adventures teach non-traveling people valuable life lessons. This is due to the fact that people who recognizing other countries through articles can learn valuable lessons from visiting people who are more mature and tend to have understanding of life through of this journey. In this respect, visited people’s understanding can affect unvisited people’s lives in positive ways. For instance, after failing multiple times to pass the exam to become an tourist, my sister became extremely discouraged. Most of her friends advised her to pursue a different career, and she got soon stressed about her professional future. Meanwhile, my parents advised her to continue to study and try to pass the examination again. To encourage her to stick with her goal, they told her stories of how they overcame failures in their own lives, and they recommended to go on a trip, regardless of her books about foreign countries. In fact, she studied all the countries but she had never traveled before. Because of their advice, my sister rose to the challenge, passed her exam, and finally became a tourist last year.
To sum up, it is more important knocking other foreign countries doors in person than meeting them in books. This is because by use of visiting people can receive help from others and have a more comprehensive understanding of life. In this regard, I strongly disagree with the idea that reading about countries on magazines for the reasons I mentioned above.
