▶ Your Answer :1. A city should try to preserve its old, historic building rather than destroy them and replace them with modern buildings. In my opinion historic preservation is really important because of the three reasons. First, historic sightseeing can be vivid learning materials about a country’s ancestry lifestyle. Second, old buildings can remind us of historical lessons driven from painful historical events. Third, historical sites can be income resources of the residents. This essay will explore the importance of preserving historical sites. Last week, I went to Kyungbokgung palace which is built in Joseon Dynasty, the last kingdom of Korea. In there I had the opportunity to wear Hanbok, the Korean (고유명사는 앞글자를 대문자로 씁니다) traditional clothes which the nobles wore. Also, while looking around the old buildings, I learned how kings and officials had made the policy to rule the nation. Moreover, I visited a village nearby the palace where the lives of the common people are reconstructed from ruins. I had the opportunity to try sickle to harvest rice. At the time I could widen my knowledge about lifestyles of my ancestries, the noble to the commoners by visiting historical sites in person more than reading a textbook. Moreover, nearby Kyungbokgung palace there is a old building where Japan-Korea treaty was made, by which Japan formally annexed Korea. Additionally, There are mannequins which describe the treaty making process. After finishing looking around the palace, I left for Seodaemun Prison. That is where many people died who had wanted to get independence from Japan. All Koreans 앞글자를 대문자로 씁니다) learn about the era under Japanese colonial rule by text books in school. However, visiting place which reminds of historical pain makes us feel more vivid sense about the pain of our ancestries. It also has us reflect why our ancestries had to live in pain and what we have to do now. Even though I enjoyed experiencing traditional costumes, it cost me about $10. When I borrowed this costumes, there were crowded people in the Hanbok rental shop. Also, although I had great time strolling around historical sites, I was so starving that I went into a Korean food restaurant nearby the palace. Because this restaurant is really famous for Bibimbab, rice with fried eggs, fresh vegetables and spicy paste sauce, it was crowded with a lot of people and I had to wait. And I also bought some traditional snacks and beverages, which cost me $10. Moreover, the palace entrance fee was $10. At that day I spent almost $50 in a day. Like me, there are a lot of visitors who want to spend their money having experience about the Korean ancestries lifestyle. This boom the economy of this area and tourism money can be huge resource of government and residents. In a nutshell, preserving cultural heritages provides a lot of benefits. They can help us learn history more easily by showing what they maintain. In addition, we also remember tragic events of our nation and prevent these events from happening again. Lastly, sightseeing brings us economic advantages by tourism. Thus, we must maintain our historical places intact. |

이것은 굉장히 위험합니다. 본인의 경험을 적는 것도 좋지만
너무 경험 위주이면 statement의 분량이 적어집니다.
