▶ Your Answer :
Some people think printed books have been more influential on society than television has, while others think differently. Both arguments may have their own reasons to support their ideas. If I had to choose one, I would say that television has been more influential on society than printed books have for the following two subsequent reasons.
To begin with, people can find emotional relief by watching television because it is effective for boosting people's moods than reading printed books. In modern society, many people are weary too much stress. However, by wathing fun televison shows, they can temporarily forget about thier problems and gain some breathing space. In this respect, watching television can be a great means of refreshing people's minds. In my case, every morning I have to get through traffic congestion to go to work and read countless texts. To make matters worse, I exhausted coping with other people. Hence as way to let go of my stress, I often enjoy watching tv shows or dramas. Even if it only lasts short period of time, my feeling become relaxed and refreshed. Therefore, watching television is more effective way to release people's stress.
In addition, by watching televison, people can improve their sociability. When people make freinds, they usually share a common interest in one another. They can become more closely talking about famous tv show or dramas. When I was in middle school, I didn't have television in my house. I wanted to make friends in school, but when they talked about television shows or dramas, I could not continue conversations with them. After buying television, I could have many conversations with them by watching television, and get a long a lot of friends. Therefore, watching television is a great way to improve social skills.
In brief, I strongly believe that the advantage of waching television far outweigh those of printed book for the reasons I mentioned above. All in all, the importance of waching television cannot be overestimated. |
