Whenever I just walk around my home town, I could easily see advertisements which are highlighted with beautiful lights and paintings. It seems advertising became prevalent in the world, attracting customers to purchase certain products. In my opinion, advertisements certainly brought benefits to people since they could make comparisons and gain information.
By watching a number of advertisements, people could compare certain products with others. In other words, they could buy the most efficient, convenient and cheapest goods. To be more specific, suppose there are three televisions which have similar characteristics. The brands are popular and it seems each product has its own advantages, so it will be difficult for customers to choose. In this condition, when people have access to advertisements, they could compare price, features, services and even opinions from people who used the product. Overall factors definitely could lead people to make rational purchases. Therefore, advertisements could be beneficial for people's life.
Moreover, people could be informed of a lot of products by gaining information from advertisements. Today, most of people feel it is too overwhelming to pick the best products from a variety of goods. Even though they have a trip to a market, they do not know what to buy from a wide range of collections. However, advertisements could give needed information to customers, leading them to find products that fit into their demands. For example, when I was trying to buy a MP3, it was hard to select among hundreds of the MP3. I wanted to go directly to stores and inquire about their functions and traits, but I could not because it was time-consuming and inefficient to ask all of them. In that time, however, I got a book which was full of MP3 advertisements. It was categorized according to price, brand and function, which was easy to read. Thanks to that book, I could get much information of the MP3 and chose the best. Thus, I believe advertisements could enable people to make a purchase effectively.
In conclusion, I firmly think advertisements tell people about products that could improve their life since they could make comparisons and obtain information of products. When people could rationally utilize the advertisement, it unarguably could make one's life better. |
