In today’s world, it is more important to work quickly and risk making mistakes than to work slowly and make sure that everything is perfect.
As our societies are getting more complex, it has become too hard to get jobs and the competition among peers are so fierce. Many people argue that people should work quickly even though they might make some mistakes in order to get a job. However, I believe that in order for people to succeed in these days and get a job, people need to make sure that everything is alright even if they are slow. It is integral when it comes to succeed of companies and individuals.
First of all, in order for the companies to be successful in these days, they need to work perfectly without making mistakes. This is because this is relevant to trust of other people. In a sense, it is true that companies should perform tasks as fast as they can; however, I think this is not a good idea since the companies make lots of mistakes because they do not concern about the accuracy of tasks and it eventually leads to lose trust of people. The worst situation can happen is failure of companies. The companies are nothing without consumer's trust and the consumer buy products because they trust that companies' quality, but if they are not any more, then there are no reasons to buy goods from them. From this manner, I can see that the trust of other people is hardly related to success of companies.
Second, the individuals have no big differences with companies and in order for them to succeed; they need to obtain faith of people. This is because most people judge others by looking their credits that are often said by others. Under this circumstance, people should strive to show their abilities and make others to believe their abilities. This can be proven when people perform things quite perfectly and make no mistakes while performing. Thus others could rely on your abilities and tell others it is fine to give you work. For instance, my cousin who works at samsung, at first he was not very reliable person at a company. However, since he made sure that all tasks were given to him were perfect, he started to have trust and this allowed him to work more. Furthermore, he was appraised by many colleagues and other people around him begin to look him as fairly reliable person. In this respect, to gain trust is crucial factor to be successful in one's life.
To sum up, doing tasks thoroughly is one of the keys of being success of individuals and companies. Thus, people should perform their work without making mistakes even if they work slowly. |
