In order to become financially responsible adults, children should not manage their own money at the young age.
----------------------------------
It is often argued that for monetary responsibility, children should handle their own money when they are young. Even though the jury is still out, I completely disagree with this statement. The rationale behind this is that when they learn about money at young age, It will be likely to getting adverse effect. Moreover, we can catch financial responsibility through learning economy theories.
First of all, since children don't develop well justice about money, It will cause opposite effect. According to the Ministry of statistics in Korea, those who manage the money when young are likely to lose a lot of money on the future than those who don't manage the money when young. The underlying cause of this is justified that to be the fact that during children, they are not in control about monetary thing. this sufficiently demonstrates that children should not treat their own money at the young age.
Additionally, if the parent wants to be financially responsible adults their children, they teach them economy theories such as accounting, banking, and finance, to name only a few. As Adam smith who was very renowned economist is quoted as having said, "learning many theories concerning economy at the young age is helpful in the future." , in fact, children will be able to acquire many economy theories when they are young which leads to appropriately handle the money on the future. This means that managing their own money at young is not necessary . This again is a clear indication for why I claim that children should not manage their own money at the young age.
All in all, I wholeheartedly believe that In order to become financially responsible adults, children should not manage their own money at the young age. The reasons are not only that managing the money at young causes adverse effect, but also that children can be taught economy theories that contribute to monetary responsibility.
