It is controversial whether breastfeeding is beneficial or not and the reading passage greatly concedes that breast feeding is efficient for both the baby and their parents. On the other hand, the lecturer rebuts this idea by claiming breast feeding as inefficient.
First, the lecturer insists that mother's worries about babies would likely increase if they do not breast feed their babies. Eventhough, breastfeeding would enable babies to protect themselves and have an optimal growth, bottle feedings can not provide that. Thus, mothers have to concern about it's ingredients and water formulas. Also, they have to worry about it's costs. This contradicts the reading passage suggesting that bottle feeding would ensure the emotional rest by allowing mothers to have access to places where she would like to go or not worrying about the diminishing breast milk.
Second, the lecturer states that breast feeding is convenient. First, they do not have to wash the bottles after utilizing them. Furthermore, breast feeding will help mother's loosing weight because as babies feed themselves, they would take away calories from their mothers. This rebuffs the opinion by the reading passage elucidating that bottle feedings would make mothers more comfortable because they do not have to pick out their food choices and she would have a chance to go on a diet.
Third, the lecturer also believes that by breastfeeding, the mother and the baby can have a close relationship. She mentions the research that had been made a long time ago insisting that babies need to be touched or cuttled by people. Therefore, the lecturer asserts that by breast feeding, mothers can touch babies and have a far more bond with each other. In addition, she believe that fathers can have a closer bond with his baby by cuttling or bathing it. This firmly rejects the reading passage alleging that by bottle feeding the baby, fathers can feed their baby and not be leftout take caring the baby. |
