The reading passage claims tha television brings negative effects to children. However, the speaker thinks it is not always true.
To begin with, according to the article, children aged 6-7 who watch television more than three hours score lower on reading and short - term memory test. However, the speaker argues that those children between 6 and 7 scored lower on their tests but the aged 3-5 children scored higher on reading recognition than children who do not watch TV.
On top of that, it is also argued that most children spend too much time to watch television instead of other activities. On the other hand, the lecturer claims that it is possible to monitor how much television children wath. he argues that Children who are aged 2 and under should not watch television , but For kids over 2 need , other activities are not interfered (argument가 이것이니까 강조해야겠죠 단순 규칙을 만들어야 한다라고 주장하는 것이 아니니까요) if they are provided with strict limits such as two hours a day.
Lastly, the reading passage points out that children who watch television too much are physically inactive. They tend to have snack a lot and can become overweight. On the other hand, the professor says that we should not blame this problem entirely on TV. Since we can spend time on excersing rather than watching television. TV 안보고 운동해야한다는 주장인가요? :)
