When it comes to the choice between on long vacation each year and several short vacations for a year, quite a few prefer having several short breaks over one long break for a year because they can see under most circumstances, choosing several short breaks has more advantages that one long break for a year. After thorough consideration, however, I would pick one long break for a year over several short breaks for the following reasons.
First of all, one long break allow students to study another. In general, schools say that there is no substitute of studying in the school's building. However, there are many parts to study at the outside of the school's building for students. If the vacation is long, students could try doing new things such as the camping outside, traveling to the foreign country, and experiencing in the nature. For example, when I was in high school, I and my friend traveled to Tokoy in Japan. We were excited because we experienced directly many parts that had been learned from school books. Therefore, one long break provides students good chances to be able to experience another world.
Moreover, students could learn to control their own vacation time. As a rule, most parents say that students would be lazy and not use efficiently their vacation time. However, it is a good chance for students to learn to plan their vacation. For instance, when I was in middle school, in every vacation, I made my plans in order to spend my vacation efficiently. Through this habits, now I am using my spare times efficiently without wasting time. Accordingly, it is a good chance for students to learn to control their vacations.
In conclusion, both one long break and several short vacations can be advantageous. For the aforementioned reasons, however, the advantages of one long break outweigh those of several short breaks because not only one long break provide students experience another study, but also it gives them good chances to learn to spend their vacation efficiently. |
