Some people are strongly against building restaurants in our neighborhood because they create enormous garbage, and hygiene problems in the neighborhood. However, building restaurants will create job opportunities. Also, through visiting international restaurants, people can virtually experience other countries.
Today, with the world economy depression, unemployment is the biggest issue in most countries. Our neighborhood is not an exception. Given that our neighborhood lacks restaurants and there are people demand to open restaurants in our neighborhood, we should welcome their business. The restaurants will create jobs and help our neighborhood economy. According to the city’s statistics, our neighborhood has the unemployment rate of 45%, higher than the national average (32%). Economists in the city counsel claim that the unemployment in our neighborhood is highly likely to drop under the national average if restaurants start business in our neighborhood. To resolve the biggest concern in our neighborhood, unemployment, we should support building restaurants in our neighborhood. People like to travel to other countries, however, it is costly in money and time. Fortunately, there exist ways to virtually travel and experience other cultures in a relatively cheaper and less time-consuming. One way is visiting international restaurants in the neighborhood. Often, those international restaurants not only serve their traditional food but also have interiors resemble aura of their home countries. Recently, I visited a Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood. The restaurant had excellent Chinese food and, on top of that, the hall reminded me a Chinese castle and servers are dressed in their customers. While I was there, it felt like if I was in China. Likewise, visiting local international restaurants is a cost-effective way to buy tasty food and exotic experiences.
