▶ Your Answer :
It is
evident that in our current society watching television and movies has a
tremendous importance in our lives. Some people think that movies and
television have more positive effects than negative effects on children’s
behavior while others do not. I however, believe that movies and television
have more negative effects than positive effects on children’s behavior. There
are several reasons that I can support my argument so I will limit my
discussion to the two that I feel are most relevant to the topic. First, children
can easily addicted by TV and movies. Second, children can motivate bad
actings.
First, children can easily addicted
by TV and movies. Making a relationship with others is important factor for
success. However, these days children do not have enough time to play with
their friend. Most of them take a piano lesson, study math, English and so on.
For these reasons they do not have chance to make relationship with their
friends. If they are addicted by TV and movies, they have more less chance to
make a relationship with others. For example, accordint to research conducted
by Seoul National University, it is reaveled that 70% of children addicted by
TV and movies. In addition, 20% of children are almost addicted by TV and
movies. As you can see this research, children are easily addicted by TV and
movies and this will cause lack of making relationship skills to children.
Second, children can imitate bad
actings. You can easily contact news that middle school student killed their
friend or even elementary school student stole wallet. I think movies and TV
are dominant reason for these crime. This reminds me of time when I was middle
school student. When I was 15 years old, there were popular dram. The name of
drama was ya-in-si-dae which means the period of gang. That drama has a lot of
fighting scene, and actor fought using fantastic skills. After watching that
drama we always imitated scene hitting friend. Before watching that drama,
atmosphere of my class was peaceful but after watching it, real fighting
between friends was increased. So I think watching TV makes children more
violent.
For these reasons I agree with the
sentence that movies and television have more negative effects than positive
effects on children's behavior. |
