▶ Your Answer :
There might be some people who believe that making food easier and quicker nowadays does not improve people’s lives. However, I personally disagree with the above idea for two subsequent reasons. First, people these days can have more free time. Second, people can reduce stress of preparing their food.
To begin with, the easier process of making food makes people have more free time. Generally speaking, people who live in the present are much busier than past people. Therefore, they do not have enough time to make their food. Accordingly, thanks to quickly prepared food, people today have become had more free time. Let me bring up my grandmother’s story as an example. When she was young, she had to make every meal for about 2 hours. This was because, at that time, there were no developed tools to help my grandmother. However, now, I can not only prepare my food myself easily with a refrigerator, gases, and a microwave but also buy fast food. Consequently, I need much less time to eat food, so I can have more spare time to do other things. This clearly shows that a present food system makes people’s lives much better.
On top of that, people these days can make food with less stress than in the past. In general, in the past, the process of having food was much more complicated and annoying. In other words, past people would get more stressed out when they ate something. On the contrary, present people can take food with more simple and convenient procedures that they have relieved the stress that came from the process. For instance, my grandmother said that she really hated to make food for her family because she should deal with so many things at the same time, which always made her exhausted and tired. On the other hand, since the world has developed, people can get rid of the pressure that my grandmother should take. Without present appeared food making systems, people still would have had a severe time.
In a nutshell, nowadays, people are able to prepare their meals quicker that they can enjoy their spare time. Furthermore, the stress from making food can be relived. In this regard, I firmly think that, with food being easier and quicker to prepare, people’s lives have improved. |
