It is widely accepted fact that most of advertisements are hyperbolized as it aims to sell their things more than other rival company’s things. However, I disagree with a this idea because it is not true that most of ads tend to sell their products. Also, it is impossible to sell their product when they exaggerates the products much better than they are owing to the advent of Internet.
To begin with, advertisements in these days are aiming to not only products, but company’s image. I easily see the advertisements I don’t know what they really want to do. Rather they don’t reveal their products all the time in ads, only showing the public campaign to their future customers. As they show their sound mind ads to their customers, they will bring more profits than showing their products. The best example of this is FIFA world cup campaign in July 2010. Majority of companies cheer for their nation’s team in advertisement without showing their product, thus, we cannot divide whether it is public campaign or advertisements. According to the experts in this field, advertisements characterized as campaigns can boost up their sales during seasons of festival. In this respect, advertisement currently focuses on their image to increase total brand value.
Furthermore, short-term sales with cheating the customers cannot make profits. As technology is more and more imporved, the customers are more wise. Among these improvements in technology fields, Internet has the most influential and strong power to their customers. Let me give a example of my experience. Whenever I bought something, I always refer the Internet to look the response or comments about products. Good responses mean that their products are less including the defects, so I can reduce mistakes without much of efforts. Although they increase their sale figures with exaggerated advertisements, it will not be able to last long time. The advent of reviewers in some kind of fiields is additional factor to decrease the exaggerate ads. According to improvement in technology, we have experienced that making their products in their ads is of no use. |
