First of all, the conglomerate gives numerous benefits for their staff such as high salary, welfare system, and scholarship for children. These merits can lead to increasing worker's career satisfaction which can improve productivity of company. According to the survey conducted by Korea Labor Research Institute in 2008, 87 percent of respondents who are work for large company satisfied their salary and welfare system. These are a good motivation and led to their loyalty for their company. This survey implied that better conditions make better workers.
Furthermore, the large companies encourage staff to challenge for developing their potential. They offer a lot of programs which help to improve individual's capacities and talents as well as opportunity to approach to the world stage. For example, one of my acquaintances entered large company which is reading firm in Korea. Since He was very challenging person and active, he applied for a dispatched worker in Saudi Arabia. 5years later, he came back to the head of company in Korea. In briefing session after return abroad, He addressed that it was very hardship in foreign life, but I can learn the most valuable things which are confident, abilities to survive, and the purpose of life. If he had been chosen a small company, he has not got these precious things.
To sum up, the large companies provide amount of merits for their worker. As I mentioned above, these are top priority for choosing jobs. Thus, many jobseekers prefer joining the large firms to the small ones. |
