The issue here is whether attending a live performance is more enjoyable or watching the same event through television is better. Although there are some people who attend a live performance such as a play, concert or sporting event, I personally believe that watching the same event on television is much more fun and my view can be greatly substantiated by the reasons addressed below.
First of all, we can watch the same event at the same time but also we can save money if we watch the event through television. In other words, a lot of extra money is needed if I attend a live performance. For example, if I saw the World Cup that performed Korea against Greece, I had to buy a flight ticket, and the seat ticket. Moreover, I had to pay money for hotel, meals, and for the traffic. Through watching the game in real might make you feel different than watching in front of television and you might be more excited than before. But, on that day, I actually watched the soccer game at home with my friends. We ordered pizza and fried chicken and even though the weather was so hot, we watched the game with air conditioning on; thus, it was so much fun and also saved my money.
Secondly, audience is limited when you attend to a live performance. To put it again, the seats are limited and the live tickets are usually expensive; thus, some people cannot join because of no avilable seat is left or people could not afford the ticket fee. However, if we watch the same event through the television, every one can watch it and every one would feel free to join without any discomfort.
Some might argue that attending a live performance can feel something special which cannot gain from watching through television. It might be true for the one who attend the performance and would feel more enjoyable. However, watching event through television would provide more enjoyable time with everyone. |
