There was a news article which stated that in Korea, there are plenty of individuals who are aged from 10 to 13 have stock market worth more than 5million dollars. Everyone responded with shock and wonder "Wow, who are they? " The answer is they are the children of big corporations' owners. Although they might not have contributed to their parents' companies, they are already financially successful thanks to their luck. Therefore, I strongly believe luck has something to do with success.
First, for some people, luck plays a bigger part in success than hard work. For example, people who are born into a wealthy family. This factor cannot be provided unless one is lucky. For people, whose family is wealth, generally get more opportunities that lead them to succeed. This is because their parents have the ability to pay for quality education, which might help them become more intelligent than others or for travelling which aids them to develop broader perspectives as they experience different cultures. Therefore, they are well equipped with the abilities that today's society seek, in other words, they are more likely to succeed. On contrary, poor people unfortunately do not have the same chance.
Additionally, people who are luckily born with exceptionally beautiful faces have the higher possibility of being successful than others who are ordinary. This is because it is generally easier for good-looking people to get a job, for example, celebrities who make a huge sum of money. For example, one actress in Korea who is extremely gorgeous gets paid 9million dollars for filming in a movie. The reason why she was casted despite her insufficient acting ability as a main character in many movies was because she is beautiful that her beauty can attract more audience. Although she was criticized for her acting ability, her popularity did not die. She did not go to university, which is considered the most significant factor to succeed; however, she married a son of the biggest corporation in Korea. As a result, she is thought of being successful.
I believe if someone works hard, their hardworking will eventually pay off; however, luck has something to do with one's success, too. Success could be defined differently depending on people to people; however, I suppose in order to be financially successful, people who are born into a rich family and exceptionally beautiful people have an advantage. I always wonder when a baby is in a fata stage, if she or he has the choice to choose which family she or he wants. |
