There are many different opinions among people regarding whether solving most people's problems by themselves or with their family is desirble, without help of government. Some may say that people can solve their problems without any help from government, because it is not difficult to solve their matters. In my opinion, however, indeed most people are receiving help from their government. This essay will show two perspectives - a personal one and a social one - to support my opinion as follows.
First of all, on a personal level, people cannot live and solve their problems without any assistance from their government, because of many unexpected matters. For example, when someone in your family is sick, and if you do not have enough money to support him or her, you will be in trouble due to the cost of hospitalization. In this situation, people can get help from the government. This case implies that the government offers people medical insurance to help people's burden of the hospitalization cost. Thus, it is more recommendable for people to get help from the government than to solve their problem by themselves or with their family.
On top of that, on a social level, the government has a duty of solving citizens' problems, because people pay taxes to their government. For instance, if some catastrophe - earthquake, tsunami or fire - happen, people will not be affordable to rebuild their houses or to live. It means that, there are some disasters that people cannot solve by themselves or with their family. In this situation, the government should help their people to reorganize them. Therefore, it is necessary for people to receive help from the goverment.
To sum up, I firmly insists that people have to get help from the government in some extent, because there are many problems that people cannot solve. No other reason in my mind regarding this issue seems to outweigh the reasoning that I mentioned.
