I presume that businesses should not hire employees for the rest of their lives. There might be some people that can help the company truly, and people that might just ruin the company's reputation. Depending on what each employees are doing, I think the company gets the right to choose to fire the employee or to keep them.
For example, there are some people that are talented in the things the company is trying to accomplish, while some people are not. People that are talented may be a big help for the company while the people who are not talented will not be as helpful as the talented employees. The company has the rights to choose the talented ones to stay, since they can be a big help to those problems that the company has.
The second reason why I think the companies should not hire an employee for the rest of their lives is that there might be people that are lazy of what they are required to do. If the company promises the employees that they are hired for their entire lives, they will think that the company has to keep them even if they don't work. Eventually, as a human, they will get lazy and stop doing the things that they are resposible for. With employees that are lazy, the comany will go down slowly, because they will need new employees that are really working. The worst part is that the company will have to give out the same amount of money to people that are working and people that are not. If you think about it honestly, everyone will stop working if they know for sure that the company has to keep them even if they don't work. That is why the company should choose the employees they want to keep, which will be the resposibel, and talented ones.
Hiring employees for lives can harm the company badly. It is sure that keeping employees for lives are not a great idea. I believe that the companies, these a days, are not keeping an employee for their lives for a reason. |
