▶ Your Answer : In the reading passage, the author claims that the Laocoon was a forgery made by Michelangelo. However, the professor in the lecture gives several reasons as a rebuttal to the author’s claim.First, the listening professor contends that Michelangelo does not intend to fool Sangallo. In fact, Sangallo was his close friend so he was not Michelangelo’s rival. Also, Sangallo assisted many of Michelangelo’s projects and invited Michelangelo so that they can identify paintings together. This casts doubt on the reading passage’s claim that Michelangelo wanted to fool his rival so he made the forgery. Next, the listening professor insists that the resemblance of two art pieces are mainly because of the experience that Michelangelo had. The Laocoon influenced to Michelangelo so one (아라비아 숫자 사용을 하지 말아주세요.) year (단수/복수) later when he made The Last Judgement,. (새로운 문장으로 시작해주세요) it naturally was (수동태: be 동사 필요) affected by the Laocoon. It shows Michelangelo’s reaction to The Laocoon. Michelangelo thought that The Laocoon had profound influence on (올바른 전치사) his painting. This counters to the reading passage’s assertion that since the Laocoon is resemble to the Last Judgement, this fact can be a supporting idea. Finally, the listening professor argues that it is true to think that there are lots of replication in the period of Renaissance, however everybody knew and cared about what is authentic one. People did not want to be tricked so when painters make art pieces, they care about whether it is forgery or not. Therefore, when there is forgery and someone plays (주어 동사 불일치) some trick using it, then the penalty was given such as death. This refutes to the reading passage’s suggestion that forgery was common so this practice was broadly permitted. |
