▶ Your Answer : Some people think that schools should spend money
more on arts or volunteering. However, I disagree with the idea that supporting
sports should be less than arts or volunteering for the following two reasons.
First, sports are good for the body. Second, students can interact with their
friends easier than other two activities. First of all, sports
activities play an important role in promoting students’ physical health. That is,
students can reap numerous health benefits from participating in sports
activities. This is very important in today’s society
because more and more people are unhealthy due to their sedentary lifestyles.
Also, they can do their school works more efficiently by playing sports. Let me
bring my cousin’s story as an example. My cousin used
to sit in front of the computer all day and never did any physical activity.
Inevitably, he gained a lot of weight and began to develop health
problems as a result of his inactive lifestyle. He decided to join a tennis
club on campus and began laying three times a week. Before long, he lost most
of the weight he had gained, and he felt much better. If the university had not
invested in tennis facilities, then the club would not have been there for my
cousin to use.
Second,
students can improve their relationships faster than other two
activities. What this means
is that since sports usually need two or more people to play, when they play
sports, they have to talk a lot, and exchange their thoughts, which is helpful
for creating memories of a fun experience. According to a survey done by JYP institute of
education, 80% of the respondents said that playing sports helps their
relationships more than other activities. This is due to the fact that they are
able to spend time together and have fun during playing sports, which allows
them to have a conversation and create fun memories together. This clearly
shows that playing sports is the best activity to strengthen students’ relationships.
In
conclusion, sports activities can help their relationships and health. That is,
sports have more advantages than other two activities. In this regard, I
disagree with the idea that schools should support arts or volunteering more
than sports |
