Some people wait the perfect idea or outstanding plan when they are assigned a presentation. However, in my opinion, the preparing for a presentation have to start right away. This is becuase, I can make more time to practice and prepare for the unexpected situations. First, by starting right away, I can get enough time to practice it. Especially, presentations need a lot of practices so the earlier I start to preparing, the more beneficial for me, even if I do not have suitable idea. I have a experience about this. When I was a freshman at the university, I got the assignment to introduce myself. I wanted that my presentation would be the most fancy one, so I spent a lot of time to make the inventive idea. However, because of a lot of thoughts, I couldn’t decide which outline would be better, and just spent the time thinking again and again. The one day before the presentation, I realized that I did not prepare anything even if some power point slides, I should have presented without any materials. Second, I can prepare for unexpected situations. To be specific, by using the enough time I can come up with the solutions for abnormal things. For example, if I have done the presentation material, I could practice in front of my friend. Based on the friends’ evaluation, I might find significant errors that I did not find. By doing this, I could correct the errors and make the more perfect presentation. If I do not have this time and I found these errors just before or during the presentation, I could not finish the presentation well. To sum up, preparing the presentation as soon as I assigned can give more time to practice. Also, during the practice, I can find the unexpected problems and prepare it well. For these resons, I prefer to start making the presentation immediately when I take it.
