▶ Your Answer : University
teachers have been considering to make their students imbibe more knowledge and
for this objective, they also have been devising multiple ways. In this respect,
employing record of teachers’ lecture and rendering their students to get accustomed
to course resources in advance could be a decent method to learn. First
and foremost, students would be able to get the hang of class materials regardless
of the familiarity of the topics. Over the course of studying, students require
to absorb a variety of specific topics within a class. One class, indeed, embodies
great amounts of minor topics. This means that having foundation of every
topics in a class is rare for students so if they preview those stuff beforehand,
it would be helpful for them to follow specific lectures in real class. For instance,
as an undergraduate student, I have an experience taking classes of my double major
in advance when I was a freshman. Due to lack of knowledge with regard to logistics
itself, I should learn from basic at that time. I ardently tried to read the books
she used but the contents they dealt with were too difficult to follow by
myself. Luckily, my professor uploaded some videos with respect to fundamental notions
of logistics, especially the part I usually lost my way. I appreciated the fashion
she selected since I was able to comprehend what I was going to cope with in
next class and even some points I missed in previous classes. I would say it
was the most memorable moments that I effectively studied by watching her
lectures in advance.
Secondly,
I believe students can broaden their ideas while they attend the regular
courses which could be the ideal of education. What I mean is that if students already
acquired the overview of lectures, he or she could develop the ideas or logical
processes by thinking, discussing and reorganizing during classes. Some people might
think getting to know the approximate notions or theories is enough. However,
in my opinion, the purpose of education, which can lead to the reason that teachers
putting efforts to make their student study effectively, is not only memorizing
tremendous notions but also molding and presenting their own thoughts. I’m sure
that students could express their opinions and think various facets about a
topic they dealing with if they already get accustomed to it. In this respect, I
believe watching or listening lectures previously could realize the ideal goal of
education and the original purpose of this way. Friends of mine could be an example.
I spotted friends who suffered from apprehending new concepts in every classes
we took together. The vital common feature of the friends was that they never finished
the online materials my professor recommended us to take before next classes.
Moreover, it turned out that they couldn’t get the scores they wanted, managed
to get grades like C+ or D at the end. This situation shows the influence of taking
something beforehand so I think the way the statement mentioned is beneficial.
To sum up, covering
some topics before students taking regular courses is more telling so university
teachers using records is an efficacious tool to learn. By doing so, it will be
able to smoothly follow the regular classes by studying complex or new ideas and
even broaden the concepts or theories while students discuss and organize their
thoughts with the knowledge they previously took by watching and taking classes. |
