It is debatable whether schools should
invest the same amount of money in sports and social activities as classes and
libraries. This is an intriguing question because opinion concerning this issue
can be different depending on the individual perspectives. In my opinion, however,
I support that schools must fund in sports and social activities as same as
classes and libraries for the following reasons.
First of all, playing various sports and
engaging social activities are both helpful for students to relieve stress and
restore health. To be specific, they allow people to laugh and enjoy their
time, which makes them better manage stress, maintain health, and build a
quality life. Stress is the main cause of disease and dissatisfying life.
Therefore, people in modern society should actively find ways to reduce stress
and stay healthy. For example, when I was in high school, my school made very
large and clean gym for students. So I could play basketball at the gym with my
friends in free time, and it enables me to relieve stress from study and forget
about my worries and problems.
In addition, these activities are necessary because they help
students to learn about building relationship with others which are more
important than academic knowledge in life. To be specific, playing team sports
and doing some social circle activities create opportunities for students which
as a result allows people to learn how to build relationships through
communicating their thoughts and connecting to each other’s feeling. Building
relationship is a great way to develop the increasingly important social,
interpersonal, and communication skills. To illustrate, I had participated in
the broadcasting, drama and Korean dance clubs in my school days. I could develop
my social skills by doing these circle activities.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that it is essential that equivalent
investment in sports and social activities with classes and libraries. All things considered, it is my belief that my argument has been effectively
and precisely delivered with the reasons mentioned above.
