▶ Your Answer :Some
people think that attending a one-week orientation or introduction program
before starting the classes is a better way
for students to enter university life than meeting regularly in your first year
with a student in your major field who has attended the university for several
years. However, I disagree with the idea it is a better way for students who
want to enter university life to attend a one-week orientation or introduction
program for the following two reason. First, they can improve their
relationship. Second, they can be less stressful.
First
of all, students can improve their relationships. This is because by meeting
other students who is the same major as them, they can spend time together and
have fun. This creates chances for them to have a conversation and exchange
thoughts, which is helpful for creating a memory of sharing a fun experience.
According to a survey done by JYP institute of sociology, 80% of the
respondents said that meeting with other students helps their relationships.
This is due to the fact that they are able to spend time together and have fun,
which allows them to have a conversation and create memories together. Finally,
students can apply to university life. This clearly shows that meeting other students
is a good way to strengthen relationships.
Second,
students can reduce their stress. What this means is that people today under a
lot of stress and pressure due to the competitiveness of today’s society. By
meeting other students in their field, they can forget about their anxiety
related to their future university life and be refreshed, so when they start to
their work, they can work much more efficiently. Let me bring my personal story
as an example. When I was freshman in college, I felt fear and worried about my
university life. However, during meeting other students, I didn’t focus on them.
Also, after meeting, we went to play entertainment activities, which allowed me
to reduce stress and be refreshed. When I started to my school works, I do my work
more efficiently. If I didn’t have meeting, I would not escape from my anxiety.
In
conclusion, they can make new friends and decrease their stress. In this
regard, I disagree with the idea that attending the program is better than
meeting other students. |
