▶ Your Answer : Some people think that being more like others is better to succeed. However, in my opinion, being different is much better than being common. This is because the society finds new thing these days, and people cannot be like just as other people. First of all, having your own originality is important in today’s society. To survive in this world of endless competition, people ought to be special. Everyone is aware that making my place in society is like a camel passing through the eye of the needle nowadays. One’s ability can be clouded by other’s ability so in order to stand out, people must make themselves different from any other people. For example, my uncle was taught to be like other people throughout his long school life, so he was always paying his attention to what other people think and how they act. Adults at that time did not like the person who stand out. But the world has changed now. People of this period are prefer more unique person than mundane one. His friends who show off their individuality became popular, but my uncle was regarded as replaceable person. So, to become special, he started to find his own taste first. And based on that, he improved his work style more uncommonly. Now, he is a successful CEO. He ran the design company which makes clothes and bags in his way. Beautiful design that never been before caught public’s mind, and made him popular. Second, It can be a waste of time because the practice that everyone do is not always same as what I have to do. If you waste your time doing work that does not suitable to you, will time wait for you? the answer will be no. In the world we live in, time is gold. Since we cannot turn time back, we must spend our time doing activities we need. For instance, I attended a piano class when I was young because every child at that time learned piano. However, I did not like to play piano, and I was a terrible pianist. No matter how I try hard, my piano skills were never improved. The piano class was last 2 hours per day, and I went there every Sunday over 6 years long. I was interested in drawing rather than piano. I wonder what it would have been like if I learned art instead of piano whenever I feel bad about all that time I spent with piano which I don't even interested in. In this regard, I firmly believe that being different from others is better than being more like others for the reasons I mentioned above. |
