Do you agree with the statement? competition, (for example best grade), is important for good friendship to students.
Many adults think that the competition between students is a fascinated or fantastic image by developing their friendship. However, when considering today's trend and student's psychological impact, I do not think that competition is important for friendship for two subsequent reasons.
To begin with, good grading is an important factor to take the student's future. In particular, some nations where human resources are the vital elements to grow their nation is that good grading and passing to the top-tier university is a way to success for one's life. Thus, competition for good grading leads to terrible accidents among students by ruining their friendship. For example, in case of South Korea, one student tore another student's math note because of the severe stress of good grading. Indeed, The fundamental reason was the teacher's remark to encourage the competition: if one got a good grade, then students would sit where one could hear and see the teacher's lecture well and if one got a poor grade, then such students would move to one's seat around the cleaning tool that emanated stink odors.
Next, the competition gets rid of a joyful memory in childhood or puberty. The atmosphere of the school would be never pleasant if the overriding competition lasts during school life. Thus, the students would have abnormal friendships between friends by suffering from psychological problems. For example, a documentary program compared the innovative school that did not emphasize the competition to the general school that did emphasize the competition. Actually, many viewers thought that innovative school's students had more positive relationship than general school's one. Furthermore, according to the interview of one general school student, he said that the reason we had friendship merely kept him from bullying or being isolated from students.
In conclusion, I think that competition is not important for sustaining good friendship to students because the grading determines the student's successful life for the future and such competition make students get rid pleasant memory during the school life. Personally, for a good friendship, I think that teachers or parents should teach students another lesson, such as cooperation, communication skill, instead of competition.
