The line graph below show changes in the amount and type of fast food consumed by Austrailan teenagers from 1975 to 2000.
→Paraphrase :__The line graph given here compares the fast food consumption for period of 25 years between 1975 and 2000, of teenagers in Austraila
● The graph/table
shows/indicates/illustrates/reveals/represents…
● It is clear from the graph/table…
● It can be seen from the graph/table…
● As the graph/table shows,…
● As can be seen from the graph/table,…
● As is shown by the graph/table,…
● As is illustrated by the graph/table,…
● From the graph/table it is clear….
1. We can see from the graph...
2. according to the graph

Bad Examples
: .
● There are many things to
consider when going back to university.
● The new policy is better than the old one.
● There are tons of
options to consider.
● To repair this, lots of
time is needed.
Good Examples
:
There are many aspects to
consider when going back to university.
The previous policy doesn’t
stand up to the new policy.
There are several options
to consider.
To repair this, a significant
amount of time is needed.
Bad Examples
:
● The red line is going through the roof.
● The line on the graph is shaky.
● The line is flat.
Good Examples
:
● The number of people who
attended sky rocketed.
● The percentage of language
learners fluctuated.
● The amount of money spent
was stable throughout the period.
Bad Examples :
● No one believes that this system works.
● Everyone feels the same about this issue.
● Canadian people do not agree with this statement.
● It always works out in the end.
Good Examples :
● Most people don’t believe that this system works.
● The majority of people feel the same about this issue.
● Few Canadians agree with this statement.
● It works out in the end the majority of the time.
Bad Examples
:
● This is a terrible idea.
● This opinion is ridiculous.
Good Examples :
● This idea is far from ideal.
● There are no facts to back this opinion.
Bad Examples :
● This problem needs to be fixed ASAP.
● It’s only OK if the right policies are put in place.
● Most people wanna have security in their position.
● The rules are gonna be modified.
Good Examples
:
● This problem needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
● It’s only acceptable if the right policies are put in place.
● Most people want to have security in their position.
● The rules are going to be modified.
