Opinions maybe divided over whether many
companies are likely to create exaggerated advertisements by making products
look better than they actually are. People of various ages and different walks
of life may take diverse positions on this controversial issue. We cannot deny
the fact that efficiency plays an important role in success of company. Therefore,
personally, I agree that corporations tend to make exaggerated advertisements
for their success.
To begin with, showing exaggerated
advertisements helps companies lay the foundation for success more efficiently.
For example, a cell phone company named Samsung are known for their
advertisements in Korea. Last month, they released a new ads about their new
cell phone, Galaxy 8. In the advertisement, they emphasized on the quality of a
picture which was taken by Galaxy 8. A lot of customers were attracted to this
cell phone because of this ads. As a result, they bought it even though it had
just plain camera. Finally, Samsung could earn a lot of money by selling their
new cell phones. This is because they showed their cell phones more luxurious
in the advertisement as people could take a picture like a photographer by
using this cell phone. This clearly proves the importance of exaggerated
advertisements.
Beyond daily experience, there are many
articles which can support my point of view. I read an editorial from the
Dong-A Daily News that is related to the topic. It describes the result of a
survey from Seoul National University economical researchers with more than 500
random successful corporations in Seoul. Out of elements, 80 percent of
companies chose luxurious advertisement is the most important requisite to
become successful. They went on to say that having a substantial amount of
exaggerated advertisements could have an positive effect on their companies.
They added that if they had had many the ads they would find it easier to go
the extra mile and do all necessary things that need to be done to assure success.
This survey shows that a lot of companies try to excessively advertise their
products in order to look better than they actually are.
As mentioned above, as the example of the
Samsung company and the survey from the Seoul National University economical
researchers, I can conclude that it is reliable for companies to make
advertisements more exaggerated in order to make their products look better. |
