Countless events are happening throughout the world each day. Some people says that it is waste of time to learn what's what is happening in other countries because it doesn't does not have an influence on their lives in a direct way. In my opinion, however, it is important to know what is going on in other countries even if it seems like it doesn't does not really affect our lives. To support my point, I will give you two reasons.
First of all, since it is the age of globalization age, we have a chance to work with other countries. On top of that, we never know what is going to happen in our lives. Even if you are living in Korea right now, for example, you might go to America for businesses or for traveling in the future. Therefore, what you thought it's not directly affecting in not directly affects your life right now can have an influence later.
Second, having lots a lot (구어체) of knowledge about other countries' events helps you in with personal relationships. I strongly believe that when two people find common things that they know or like, it becomes really easy to build a relationship. In particular, because we don't do not have a lot in common with foreigners, it is really important to know what they experience there to be a friends with them. For example, watching a football game held in USA the United States doesn't does not directly impact my life. However, when I met an American guy, I was able to talk about the football game and we could be a friends really easily.
To sum up, we are living in an age of globalization where other countries matter we have something with other country. Therefore, even small events from other countries can have an influence in some day in our lives.
