topic : the extended famili is less important now than it was in the past
Some people say that students should live with the extended family in order to grow into exemplary adults. However, I agree that the extended family is less important now than it was in the past for two reasons. Firstly, in these days, teachers can guide students in the right directions. Secondly, students cannot learn about academic knowledge which is basically needed in order to success.
Most of all, teachers can teach students life lessons instead of families. Today students are overwhelmed with a huge amount of work. As a result, they might not have spare time to spend time with family members. Thus, teachers who spend most of time with their students are more important to students. Private high school near my house can be an example. Teachers in this school do not devote themselves only to improving their students' test scores and grades. Rather, they give the first priority to helping them find their real talents and personality. Thus, students in this school can learn many things including sociability and responsibility by means of various fun activities. Most importantly, teachers relate well with their students making sure that students enjoy their school life. In this context, teachers' help and guidance lead students to grow into well-rounded adults without family members' help.
Furthermore, students cannot learn about specific knowledge which relate to their major from their family. In general, students can learn valuable lessons by being with their family members.
However, in these days, academic knowledge is more important to students for their success rather than valuable lessons from family. According to a study conducted by the Korean Statics Bureau, most of surveyed respondents mentioned that the key to their success was knowledge from schools. They also indicated that if it had not been for teachers' teaching, they could not achieve their goal. Therefore, students should spend their much of time at schools rather than their home.
