Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Television has destroyed communication among friends and family. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. |
It is of great value to discuss whether or not television has depriving chances for family or firends to communicate. Some people agree with the statement since they think watching TV is so time-consuming that peple don't get a time to communicate with the others. As for me, however, TV has made positive effects on us for the following reasons; first, TV has provided stuffes to talk; second, these days there are so many factors that make people are taken apart.
To begin with, some people have a hard time to serch for topic for talking with other people. In this sense, TV can be a great role to eliminate the problem. TV provides us with so many boradcasts that are from darama to serious social issues. So we don't have to think about what can be a stuff for communication since all of things in the TV can be a topic. For example, let's suppose that my firends and I are people who really like to see dramas. Since everyday TV shows many kinds of dramas, we don't need to search for particular topics for us to communicate easily. So we will naturally talk about what we saw and there will be no silence beween us. In addition to this, by exchanging our thoughs about the TV's broadcasts people can know about each other well and it will strengthen thier relaxtionship.
On top of that, I firmly believe that TV is not a factor for ceasing communication among people because there are a lot of things for this problem. In paricular, nowadyas due to the development of techniques such as internet and DMB cellphone, people can spend thier free time very pleasantly without interacting with other people. I take an online game as an instance of this issue. Because of the advent of the internet, people can play games with other people in an online. Especailly, the online game is so interesting that many modern people have been palying the one all time. They think that it is not a prerequise thing to communicate directly since they can build a human network in the internet by playing an online game. For these reason, it is not right to consider TV as a hamful when it comes to disruption of communication.
In conclusion, I strongly argue that TV is not a factor in that people don't communicate each other. That's because TV has lots of benefits for us like providing issues for talking that can make ones' relaxionship fimly and because numerous factors exist for sparking people's rupture. So saying that TV is a reason for the problem is fabulous. |
