Nowadays, more and more students choose home-schooling through the Internet. As for me, I take a cyber math class provided by educational website. Even I am doing so, however, I am an opposite side of home-schooling system in public school because there’s an important thing that cannot earn from monitor-to-monitor education: the social interaction between students and teachers. Teachers play a pivotal role in forming students’ personality, and through the interactions, students can learn social skills. For these two reasons, I place more emphasis on how a teacher get along with students rather than how a teacher give knowledge well. To begin with, Friendly teachers motivate students not only to study but also behave well on other parts of their lives. Motivation works as an energy source that makes a person get more great result by efficient way. For example, if a students with a clear goal which is being a doctor, he will focus on what he has to do, and realize what he should forsake to achieve his dream. And the one who encourage students to set a specific goal is teachers because they can take care of students while they are studying and through variety educational activities, they catch what their students are really interested and find their talents. Also, interaction with teachers enhances student’s social skill as well. Nowadays, due to the advent the Internet and video games, students make less time to have a conversation with their parents in home. Naturally, they have lack of opportunity to discuss with adults and to learn something cannot realize from conversation with their peers. However, to succeed in life, they have to know how to socialize with various people in different age groups. Conversely, in schools, there are relatively more opportunities that students and teachers exchange their opinion deeply, during the class or in a private time. So, a good teacher pay more time to share each other’s feeling rather than just to give more information.
