[TOPIC] It is better to take difficult classes despite of lower grades. |
Many people have been debating the pros and cons of the idea that taking challenging classes is better although it gives lower grades. From ma personal point of view, I strongly disagree with the opinion of taking difficult classes in the expense of bad credits. This is because those difficult classes discourage students from their school work and lower grades can affect their future lives. To start with, challenging classes discourage student from devoting themselves into school work. Some people might claim that those high levels of classes may motive students and lead them more academic. However, sometimes, students can find themselves depressed and despaired from the classes they cannot catch up. Thus, participating in those difficult classes is not recommendable in terms of motivation of students. To illustrate, take ma personal experience as an example, in my university, I have taken several classes about law. Even though I was a freshman, I was desired to know more about the field of law and decided to get into classes for senior. However, in the every course of each class, I found the classes are mostly about the concepts that I could not figure out, and thus I was almost discouraged to catch them up. Needless to say, at the end of semester, I had no choice but to give up some of classes since it was too challenging for me. Apparently, the consequences of my decision makd me depressed and despaired. From my personal experience, I can realized that do what I can afford is much wise decision especially in about academic matter. Furthermore, challenging classes can cause lower grades which can influence our future. Nowadays, some of companies recruit employees not by school credits but by their experience. However, most of the companies still cannot denied the importance of school credits as a reflection of one’ personality and possibility. Thus, getting lower credits by taking higher classes wield a bad influence on ones’ future. According to a survey recently released by the Korean National Research Center, more than two thirds of the surveyed recruiters of top 100 ranked companies in Korea responded that their first criteria of employing personnel is credits of school works. They also mentioned that those credits and grades show how they spend their school lives and also it demonstrates their future possibility as a potential ability. Thus, spoiling school grades by partaking difficult classes is undesirable decision to all of students. In this context, there is no wonder that we should take relevant class rather than challenging one in order to make our future bright. In brief, taking difficult classes needs to be considered negatively in terms of promoting positive point of view and future possibility. Difficult classes depressed students from their school work and bad grades harm their future development. In general, I wholeheartedly believe that the very first thing we should do now is admitting the importance of taking proper class as the key to open the door of our future. |
