I firmly believe that spening a lot of money for exploration of the outer space is not better choice than putting more money on the conservation of environment. The project of discovery of outer space is extremely risky and the consequence of the exploration is likely to be very long term benefit oy humanbeing rather than giving immediate effect to people.
To begin with, the benefits of the exploration of the outer space is doubtful and unpredictable. No scientist can guarantee the succcess of the project. For example, some scientists claimed that the possibility that the human being will find a planet the humans can survive, is high. However, as the history of the human being shows, the people have been failing to find even a planet. Mars was known to be a planet where water was exist. After several years, the people realised that the planet no longer has no sufficient condition for the people to settle down. The money that used for Mars, was siginificant and the people wasted. Thus, the project of outer space is not certain and dangerous investment to be supported.
In addition, the result of the discovery of the planet or the project of the outer space has no effect to the modern world but only benefit the future generation. The people can not see how the project can give benefits to the people and therefore it can be a poor decision for the people who wish to see the effect of the project. For instance, if a country budget their money to the project, the money that is consist of the tax will be misused. There will be no direct benefits to the current citizen as the project will take more than decades.
To conclude, I am strongly convinced that the people should invest more money for the preservation of the nature instead of wasting the money to the meaningless project, exploration of the outer space. The advantages which the improved environment in the earth will provide the people enormous benefits and it far outweigh the positive effect of the outer space project. The rapid result and the certainity of the preservation of the nature is proven evidences that support my argument. |
