Some people say that friends are more influence on student than their teachers. However, I believe that students are influenced more by their teachers than their friends for two reasons.
First of all, students go to school to learn from teachers and teachers prepare what they teach and how to represent that to students. Also, teachers are student's role models who they want to become. For example, I used to hate math class but my math teacher told me the story that he used to hate math when he was young as well. However, he hadn't given upon math and he overcame the obstracle and became a math teacher. When I heard his real story, I was inspired and encouraged. However, it is hard to find my friends who influence me by telling me their story they speaking from their experience because they have almost same amount of experience as me.
In addition, teachers set a good example for their students. So, they behave themselves. On contrary, friends hardly act to examplify to others and just be themselves.
Second, teachers are more educated than friends. In order to become teachers, they had studied strictly in their past and trained professionally. Therefore, they know how to treat students and the way to guide them. As a friend, it is hard to be conservative even when they know they have to be. However, as teachers, with their authority, they can be strict on students and bring them back on the right track easily if they have to.
With these considerations, teachers influence students more than friends. With their honest advise and speaking from their experience as a counselor, advisor, teacher, and who educated professionally, teachers are more inspiring people than friends to students. |
