Many people belive that physical exercise is equally necessary for all age group. While I agree that exercise is useful for everyone, I believe it is especially important for old people than younger people. This is because older people is weaker and less active than younger people.
First of all, old people is weaker than younger people, thus exercise absolutely need to them. Many aged people are suffering a lot of diseases such as high blood pressure, arthritis and diabetes, and they are painful for these diseases. According to Korean news paper, aged people who exercise for thirty minutes everydays are healthy, and they also doesn't have any illness. What is more surprising that aged people who are suffering many deases getting well their diseases. It proved that exercise is good for old people's health.
Moreover, old people is less active than younger people. When old people was young, they also busy for their works, many friends and hobbies. However as they grew up, they were retired, so they haven't any work also they couldn't afford to do something such as planning project and hobby. For the reasons aged people feel lonely and depressed that they can't do everything. This kind of think is really dangerous because it cause deppression and other diseases. Exercising is good for pysical health and mental health. Aged people can get lively life by exercising. For example to my grandfather, he was really depressed before playing tennis every day, but now, he is more active than before.
To sum up, the elderly are physically weaker and less active than young people, so physical exercise is essential for old people than for younger people. For these reasons, I agree with that exercise is more important for elderly people than for young people. |
