▶ Your Answer :
Some people think that the learning is achieved through books and that the internet is just a distraction, while other people think differently. Both sides may have their own reasons to support their views, If I have to choose one, I would say that the internet is a highly valuable tool since it allows students to conduct research easily and quickly, and it also makes online courses possible. There are several reasons and examples as follow First of all, students are able to do research on the internet easily and quickly. There is no need to go the library in order to read a lot of books, asking for librarian’s help. Now they can go online to find information they want to learn about. For example, when I was a freshman in college, I had to write a report on Jazz. Since I was not familiar with the genre, I did not know which books I should use as references. I decided to use the internet for my report, and in a few minutes I was able to view a large amount of materials about jazz. If I did not use the internet, I would have invested too much time and efforts. On top of that, students can have online courses through the internet. These online courses provide students who are busy with educational opportunities. For instance, my brother wanted to take a mathematics class. But he was very busy with a lot of his schedules and part-time job, so he did not have extra time to learn. Fortunately, there were online courses about mathematics, so he was able to listen to the lectures at home, which was very convenient and gave him chance to learn. In brief, I firmly believe that the advantages of the internet far weighs its disadvantages for the reasons I have mentioned before. All in all, the importance of the internet cannot be underestimated in studying. |
