Throughout our lives, we make numerous dicisions that affect our lives in even mor numerous ways. Some are quite important, and some are not. To some people who lack in a decision making ability, it seems very wise to use a group of people in the process of decision making. However, I do not agree with the statement that people should make an important decision alone. Furthermore, I believe that people will have to make decision on their own for the following reasons. First of all, regardless of the cooperation we get from people around us, we all live alone. Each of us is held responsible for every decision we make. In this case, it would not be so fair to rely on other people to make a decision for us, especially when the outcome of the decision is not so beneficial. It is very well known that Steven Jobs from the Apple makes every decision for his company from a small thing such as interior of their shop to a larger thing such as their products. Even though he makes decisions on his own, Apple seems to be doing very well in very highly competitive industry. Second, decisions resulted as a product of group work do not always lead to the best option. Each individual can get advices from other people becuase it is evident that different people have different aspects of the world. However, too many opinions can lose focus, and came up with a completely odd decision. There is an old Korean proverb saying "A boat with too many padlers will go to a mountain". As we can see in the saying, too many opinions are not always advantages. To conclude, even though other people's opinion can help somewhat in decision making, it should not be an absolute standard for decision making. I disagree with the statement saying people should not make an important decision alone because of the responsibility that will eventually lay upon one person's shoulder and the fact that many opinions do not always make the best decision.
