Topic : Observing or studying animals teaches us a lot about human nature.

The origin of human beings is controversial; some people say human beings are created by words of one supernatural being in a day, and others claim that human beings are direct descendants of monkeys. However, I do not think it is important whether or not our grand-grandfather is a chief monkey or God; rather, WHY our ancestors are assumed as animals is important. Speaking of the reason, I think it is because human nature is similar to that of animals both in terms of individuals and societies; therefore, close research of animals will also facilitate scientists to know more of ourselves.
First of all, individual human character is not much different from that of animals. Save the "ability to think", which Descartes writes as the greatest difference between human beings and animals, human behaviors exactly follow the law of nature for the sake of their survival. From being cruel to weaks to being yes-men to their predators, we easily find out the remnants(나머지?) of animals from human beings. To illustrate, Korean individuals adore Caucasians, trying to speak as much as they can with English.(trying to speak English as well as they can..) However, when they meet Southeastern Asian people speaking the same English in on the street, Koreans used to pass them away with scornful eyes on the Asian people.(Koreans used to look down on the poorer Asian people/pour scorn on) This feature exactly resembles a hyena's life; it usually does not even touch or go closer to the foods of lions or leopards, but often steal the foods of other hyenas that look weaker than itself.
On top of that, even most human societies resemble those of animals in many aspects. In human society, usually the violence of those people who have power is often justified just because the one people who committed crime has have enough power to veil his their crime. On the contrary, the crimes of proletariats are often exaggerated and sometimes they are accused of the crimes that they have never committed. Exempli gratia, a recent scientific research announced that 90% of American prisoners consist of proletariats who are usually foreigners or ethnic minorities, albeit the numbers of crime that rich people committed in America outnumbered those that commoners committed in a great number. This also resembles the animal society, in which any behaviors of powerfuls are justified and accepted by all members of the society.
In a nutshell, I totally agree with the opinion that we can know more of the human nature as we study more of the animals because human beings in any terms are images of animals. I think by now human beings have to accept the idea that we are not much different from the ones we see in the zoo, and try to take more care about them more as we live in our lives.
