To have a successful in school's life, peers are more influential than parent. |
There is an argument concerning about whether peers are more influential than parent in students' school life or not. Some people maintain that parent have the most significant role in students' life than friends. In my opinion, however, I disagree with such a view for the following reasons. First of all, nowadays students have much time with their friend. In addition, peers are able to understand their friends.
To begin with, these days a lot of students have much time with their friends rather than their parent. It is obvious that children are likely to get along with more time their parent than their friends, before they go to the school. However, as children attend the school, they spend a lot of time with friends. For example, Jun Kim, my friend since my elementary school life, spent most of the day with their parent before he went to the school. Yet, as he went to the school, his parent starts to work together for a living. So his parent always went back home late, he should spend much time with his friends.
Also, peers are able to understand their friends' problems rather than their parent. Since many students want to relive worry as well as get a advice, they used to talk their problems with other people. However most of parent tends to ignore their children’s worry, because they are so busy. Moreover peers have a common concern so that they understand their friends' trouble more easily. According to a survey recently released by the Korean National Research Center, one of the most reliable research companies in Korea, more than two thirds of the surveyed students responded that they consult with peers than their parent when they got into trouble.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that students are more important influence on friends than their parent because they spend plenty of time with peers and friends can understand their peers' worry more simply. As a result, it becomes significant for parent to have a much time and talk deeply with their children. |
