When give a choice between A and B, some take excessive times to make up their minds. In contrast, others immediately choose one that seems better. From my personal experiences, I strongly agree with the latter opinion that fast decision making are better than enough consideration. The rationale behind this is people cannot make every problems with enough times. On top that, even long considerations are not always right, sometimes, it is better to be quick.
To begin with, fast decision makings are required in many aspects of life. In other words, people face with too many decision makings in daily life, so it is better to be quick and fast. To give an example, after I woke up from my bed yesterday, I began falling into many problems. First, I needed to choose whether to dine at home or to go out and eat. Once I decided to go out, I hesitated what to wear. Not only that, but also taking a bus or driving an own car became my next concern. Such those daily concerns in individual's life constantly interrupt on every moment, it is impossible for one to make all decisions with enough considerations.
Furthermore, decisions made with longer periods do not mean that they are accurate. That is, people can make mistakes and wrong choices even if they take excessive hours and cares. The best illustration is my experience with purchasing a bag. Last week, I found very an expansive bag with fifty percents on sales. Although it was great chance to get the luxurious bag, I chose to wait for couple of days in order to think more carefully. By comparing all the prices with other stores, I finally figured that the bag was the best choice. Unfortunately, bags that the internet store had were sold out. Likewise, taking longer times does not prevent people from making wrong decisions.
To sum up, fast decision making helps people to live in their daily lives. By choosing quickly, people can spend their time with less worries and hesitations. On top of that, slow decisions can hinder people from catching special opportunities. |
