▶ Your Answer :
It is of great
worth to discuss whether or not young people today less dependent on their
parents compared to the past. While some people might agree with the statement,
others might disagree with it. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the
notion because young people have more chance to study far from their home town because
of changing in life style
Above
all, students are given more chances to go far from their home town. During my
parent’s time, they tended to live together because living together and having a
family time is crucial in their life. However, time is changed. Compared to
those of loose life style, society has become competitive and required student
to study a lot. It leads young people to less dependent on their parent. To
survive in this world of endless competition, young people ought to have much experience
and be dependent from their parents. Everyone is aware that succeeding is like
a camel passing through the eye of a needle nowadays. One’s ability can be
easily clouded by others’ abilities so in order to stand out student must be
independent and have various experience. For example, my parents went to the collage
where nearby their house. This was because my grandparent’s did not allow them
to leave their home. They were always having a family time so that it made them
to strengthen family bond and prevent them from feeling lonely. On the other
hand, today, my parents send me Suseng University, which is one of the most
renowned university in South Korea, spending 5 hours arriving there from my
house. The decision was because that the university would help me to study more
and get a job easily. As a result, until now, I have lived alone also most of
my friends live themselves. Furthermore by living myself, I have gain so many
things, such as how to make a meal and how to manage my pocket money. It could
have not been able to realize and learn in the past.
To
sum up, our competitive society makes young people to leave their parents,
causing them more independent than my parent’s time. In this regard, I believe
young people has become more independent.
