▶ Your Answer Some would say that it is better to live in a big town than to live in a small city. However, I have a different idea. I think it is more beneficial to inhabit in a small city than to dwell in a big city for the following reasons. First of all, living in a small city is better than inhabiting in a big city because there is little environment pollution. To be specific, big cities tend to be polluted a lot because there are a great number of factories and industrial constructions in metropolitan, which can result in air and water pollutions. But, there are little contamination in small town since developers do not plan to construct factories in small city. The reason why they are reluctant to build diverse factories is that there are many disadvantages such as road system and land space. According to study which is conducted by the KOREA University research team, they reported that the bigger city is, the higher air pollution is due to a lot of industrial constructions. This result shows that it is better to live in a small city. Second, it is useful for people to inhabit in a small town since they can minimize expenditure. In other words, the house price in a big town is generally expensive than a small town because there are a lot of facilities such as subway, hospitals, and school. Even though people can enjoy staying in big city by getting various conveniences, these would make the house price in big city so expensive because a lot of people flock to big cities, which naturally makes house price surge. Also, high living expenses is more spent by the people who live in big city than the people who live in small city. There are convincing survey conducted by the NYU research team. They performed survey in order to reveal why people move from a big city to a small town. They determined that the reason people move to it is due to high living expenses and house price. Therefore, it is better to dwell in a small city. To sum up, people can save money if they live in a small town, and they can be less influenced on environmental contamination. Thus, I strongly agree with the statement above. |
